Nairobians are taking over Hollywood.
Just recently, uptown girl Lupita was in the headlines for her fashion sense and now, Eastlands born Edi Gathegi has landed himself a role in a movie alongside Bradley Cooper.
Edi will not be playing a minor role like he did in Twilight and X-files. This time round, he will be shining in the comedy drama, Aloha with Hollywood bigwigs like Emma Stone, Eric Baldwin, Rachel McAdams, Bill Murray and Danny McBride.
Edi will play the role of Cam Curtis.
The flick follows the life of Gilcrest, a military contractor who once blew a massive assignment in Hawaii, much to the displeasure of gruff military man Alec Baldwin and former flame Tracy (Rachel McAdams).
But Gilcrest still has enough of a reputation that he’s sent back to the island at the behest of the wealthy Carson Welch (Bill Murray), who is looking to set up a new US satellite.
The release date has been set for May 29 in the US.
