KTN News presenter Fridah Mwaka on Saturday 10, August formalised her engagement to her fiancée in a ‘traditional’-themed event in Kibwezi, Makueni County.
This comes two months after the lovebirds got engaged at a private event in Nairobi.
The traditional wedding, commonly known as ‘ruracio’ was full of pomp and colour. Guests attending the event donned in red-themed ‘vitenges’ to give it an African touch.
In the bridesmaids line up was KTN News reporter Grace Kuria and Fridah’s friends and family who looked stunning in matching Ankara outfits.
As congratulatory messages flocked Fridah's social media, the sassy news anchor left an encrypted message on her Instagram account, posting a photo with celebrity Njesh wa Kabz, who was also in attendance.
Although Fridah has managed to keep her love life and camera-shy fiancé private her close friend and music producer Saint P posted the couples first-ever picture together on his Instagram page expressing his joy in their union.
“I cannot explain how happy and excited I am for u. I am happy that u have started a new face in ur life. I am happy for you sana. May God bless you. I pray for joy, happiness... oneness... You are blessed,” Saint P wrote.
Sources close to Fridah have intimated that the couples official church wedding is set for late November this year.
