United States International University has once again marked the Black History Month.

PLO Lumumba — who believes Africa is the richest continent occupied by the poorest people — spoke at the ceremony. The former Anti graft boss gave a speech titled: The bitter story of Africa told in an African way.

Limumba had been invited to launch the Month of Black History at USIU’s Auditorium on February 4. The Black History Month commemorates critical personalities and events in Africa and has been celebrated by USIU for a decade now.

This year’s theme is, The Impact of Civil Rights Movement on the Liberation Struggle in Africa: Modeling a 21st Century Engagement. Musician Hellen Mtawali, with her band, will be the lead entertainer till the celebration ends.
