The popular rugby player and chef Dennis Ombachi has caused a stir while showcasing that his toddler son can already float on water and swim to safety.

Taking to his social media accounts, Ombachi posted a clip throwing the little one into the water, leaving jaws dropped.

In the short video, the athlete and famed online chef lifts the child up, kisses him gently, before tossing him into a swimming pool by the leg.

“Four weeks since we started water safety classes and my son graduated today, officially water safe!” Ombachi gushed on Twitter about his son’s abilities.

Once in the water, the baby boy quickly gets himself to a floating position and kicks his feet moving forward steadily. It appears that he can get himself out of a pool and even keep his head up to breathe after having been taught the life skill early on.

Ombachi, who is also popularly known as ‘The Roaming Chef’ added that he is a “proud father” following the child’s accomplishment.

“Proud of you my naughty boy, you’re finally Water Safe, less worries for us when you are out of our sight having successfully completed your water safety class. Happy graduation day,” he wrote on Instagram.

Since his early Monday morning post, the self-taught chef has been trending on Twitter, with over 5000 tweets being made about him, with netizens sharing mixed reactions.

He also shows off his young family, once in a while uploading cute images with his children.

Ombachi and wife Svetlana Polikarpova welcomed baby number two, a girl, in October last year.

“Sweet little angel, we welcome you into the world today and promise to love you with all that we have to offer,” the athlete wrote as he announced the addition to the family.
