Nigerian superstar Wizkid was paid Sh69 million to perform at a royal wedding in India, reports have indicated.
The star, who is among the most sought-after artists in Africa performed at Umaid Bhawan Palace in India, one of the world’s top private residential.
The Fever hit maker staged a live performance at at the event with his band. Among the songs he performed were Soco, Fake Love among others.
According to World Publicist, a twitter account run by a popular Nigerian researcher and blogger, Wizkid joins the list of the highest paid artists for bookings around the world.
“Wizkid joins the list of the Highest Paid Artists for Bookings in the World, as he performs at a Royal Wedding at one of the world's top private residences, Umaid Bhawan Palace in India. He was reportedly paid 50 million Rupees ($681,200, N245.9 million),” read one tweet.
The 28-year-old hit maker has lately been in the news over his closeness to fellow musician Tiwa Savage, 38, sparking dating rumours.
He featured her in one of his latest music videos Fever and went ahead to praise her for an ‘extraordinary performance’.
They have been spotted chilling out together, often sharing the photos on social media but have both rubbished dating rumours.
