The school calendar will return to normalcy in January 2023, Education Principal Secretary Julius Jwan has announced.
In a circular, Jwan revised the calendar as follows:
Term one will be 13 weeks long running from January 23 to April 23, with a three-day half-term break between March 23 and March 26. Students will be on holiday for 2 weeks from April 22 and May 2.
The second term will begin on May 8 and end on August 11, student will be on a three-day half-term break between June 29 and July 2, with the end of term two-week holiday running between august 12 and august 27.
The third term will start on August 28 until November 3. Students sitting the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will write their exams for days between November 6 and November 9.
Those sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will do their exams between November 10 and December 1.
The teacher's Training college calendar between 2022 and 2023 will be as follows.
Term one will run for 14 weeks between August 29 and December 2 2022. Term two will be 13 weeks long running between January 23 and April 21, 2023. The students will then proceed on a two-week break running from April 22 and May 7, 2023.
Term three will begin on May 8 and end on August 11, 2023, before a three-week holiday running between August 12 and September 1, 2023.
Term one will then be 12 weeks running between September 4 and November 18, 2023. The students will be on holiday for six weeks between November 19 and December 31, 2023.
