Hard working student overcomes mental illness to post straight As in KCSE

NAIROBI: When Zacharia Ndung'u developed anxiety and a disruptive behavioural disorder early 2014, teachers at Light Academy in Karen, Nairobi, knew that something was amiss.

Ndung'u, then aged 18, was a Form Four candidate. He was passionate about education and was looking forward to writing his KCSE examination, which he had prepared for since he joined the school.
