Matungulu man’s leg amputated after attack by hyena

The man has since been admitted to hospital after an attack by a hyena.

Doctors at Machakos level 5 referral hospital have amputated the leg of a 34-year old man from Kyeleni village in Matungulu Sub County who was mauled by a hyena Tuesday night.

The victim, identified as Nicholas Maingi, was referred to the facility from Kangundo Level 4 Hospital where he was initially admitted for treatment following the encounter with the wild beast.
