The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (Kerra) finance boss Dan Chamwama Manyasi spent a better part of his Tuesday at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters.
Manyasi was being grilled over graft in the road agency which has allegedly seen more than Sh400 million misappropriated.
The grilling comes after investigators from EACC raided his Nairobi and Kakamega homes and office in search of documents that would aid in the investigation.
He stands accused of benefitting from millions of kickbacks from road tender deals at the agency.
It is also alleged that companies linked to him and his wife have been paid over Sh400 Million for tenders.
EACC is said to be investigating several top officials in the road sector believed to be implicated in massive grafts which have resulted in payments for shoddy road works and multiple payments for the same project.
