Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have asked Kenyans to help them arrest a female suspect caught on camera fleeing from the murder scene of acting Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Dr Erick Maigo.

Maigo's body was found at his residence in Woodley Annex on Friday, September 15.

In a post on its official social media pages, DCI has shared pictures from CCTV footage, showing a woman escaping from the fence of the house.

"The suspect who was captured leaving the victim's residence at Woodley Annex -Upper is believed to have been involved in the murder most foul before escaping through the back door. Two blood-stained knives believed to have been the murder weapons were recovered from the scene of crime," the investigators say.

"As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to her immediate arrest."

Police launched the investigations after the deceased's body of the 40-year-old was found lying in a pool of blood with 16 stab wounds.

Post-mortem revealed that the deceased was stabbed several times to death.
