President Ruto makes more appointments, revokes others

Dr. Siyad Abdullahi was appointed Trustee of the Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund (KHATF) for a three-year period.

The Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund (KHATF) is one of 18 institutions under the state department for public health and professional standards in the ministry.

Established under the Kenya Hospital Authority Act of 2017, its main purpose is to mobilize resources for the development and improvement of health facilities in the country.

Trade CS Moses Kuria appointed Khadija W. Mustafa, Col. (Rtd) Khalif Aden Shabell, and Rebecca Kimeto as members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Investment Authority for a three-year term, revoking earlier appointments made in 2021 and 2022.

Kuria also appointed Cyprian Mugambi Ngutari as the chair of the Business Premises Rent Tribunal, with Joyce W. Murigi, Patricia May Chepkirui, Andrew Muma, Chege Charles Gakuhi, and Jackson Rop serving as members of the tribunal.

Other members of the tribunal include Mike M. Makori, Joyce Akinyi Osodo, James Wahome Ndegwa, and Patrick Kiprotich Kitur. All members will hold office for a period of three years.

ICT CS Eliud Owalo announced the appointment of Stephen Nganga Gitau and Rodney Onyango as members of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Council for a three-year period.

In addition, Owalo revoked the appointments of Mwaniki Mageria, Dr. Stellah I. Onyiego, Eunice Njeri Njau, John M. Mwita, and Michael Mutembei Kibutha.

Furthermore, Owalo appointed Gerald Kimathi Ithubua to the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation board for a three-year term.
