State appointments: Ex-MP Moses Cheboi, Joseph Gitonga to chair various boards

Moses Cheboi appointed as Chairperson of the Advocates Complaints Commission. [Boniface Okendo, Standard]

President William Ruto has appointed Joseph Gitonga as the new Chairperson of the Board of the Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation (NTZDC).

Gitonga will head the corporation for three years effective April 27, 2023.

In the latest appointments, former Kuresoi Member of Parliament Moses Cheboi has been named the Chairperson of the Advocates Complaints Commission.

Cheboi, will chair the commission for three years, effective Thursday, April, 27.

Cheboi served as National Assembly deputy speaker between 2017 and 2018.

The Head of State also appointed four commissioners to the Advocates complaints commission. They include Peter Nyaga, Prof Collins Oloo, Mueni Kalola and Patrick Maina Muriuki.

They will also sit on the commission for three years.

In other appointments, Chief Justice Martha Koome has appointed Benard Wafula Murunga as a member of the Sports Disputes Tribunal, for a five-year term.

Koome also named Adan Abdikadir and Jin Mohamed Huzna, as members of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal, for six years.
