Former presidential candidate David Mwaure, ex-Governor Samuel Ragwa among new State appointees

President William Ruto has made several State appointments, according to a Gazette notice dated April 19, 2023.

The Head of State has appointed Richard Cheruiyot as the chairperson of the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA), for three years.

Cheruiyot's term became effective on Thursday, April 20.

Samuel Ragwa has been appointed the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).

Ragwa will also serve as the chairperson for a period of three years.

Former presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has also landed a new role. Mwaure has been appointed the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund, for a period of three years.

Other key parastatal appointments include: Adrian Kamotho Njenga as the Chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal, Adelina Mwau appointed the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Kimathi Mbogori as chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute. They will also serve for three years.

Godfrey Lemiso is the new chairperson of the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation, while Charles Ongoto has been named the chairperson of the Retirement Benefits Appeals Tribunal.
