Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u- National Treasury and Planning

PhD in economics holder from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in economics from the University of Nairobi.

CBK governor (2007-2015).

Become the first CBK governor to complete two terms since the term limit was put in place in 1982.

Was director of training at the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) until joining CBK.

Has worked with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).

Has published in journals and chapters in volumes on inflation, exchange rate, economic growth and poverty reduction.

He is an Associate Professor of economics, at UoN.
