The first quarter of 2022 has been quite exciting. Gamers have been treated to amazing titles such as WWE 2K22 and Grand Theft Auto V Remastered, among many others. This month, however, there are not as many big titles, but there is a slew of new video games planned across all platforms.

Lego Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga

This is a Lego-themed action-adventure game from TT Games, the sixth instalment in the ‘Lego Star Wars’ video game series and the sequel to ‘Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. This new version incorporates all nine films in the ‘Skywalker saga’ series, as well as characters and levels from other Star Wars films and shows. Instead of playing in the normal linear format, players can choose to start the game from any of the trilogies and complete them in any order they wish.

The House Of The Dead remake

This is a remake of the horror classic Light Gun from 1997. The game takes place in December 1998 and follows Agent Thomas Rogan and G as they face biologically-engineered creatures in Dr Curien’s mansion. According to Nintendo’s official website, the game introduces a fresh cast of characters and alters the gameplay to fit modern gaming standards. While players shoot down hordes of zombies, the ‘House of the Dead Remake’ appears to keep the rail-shooter gameplay, gory scenes, and overall tone of the original game.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

This game, set in a fictionalised 1985, allows players to manage 13 individuals who interact with one another to create a greater story. The focus is on teens in Mech, robots known as Sentinels and those in the Vanillaware game’s world. The game has two modes. In the Destruction Mode, Mechs are positioned on a tactical battlefield to protect mankind from a kaiju invasion, while players walk through the different pathways taken by one of the game’s protagonists in the mystery-box plot of the component dubbed Remembrance Mode.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

This action-adventure game bridges the first two Star Wars trilogies, acting as an origin story for both the United Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Civil War depicted in the original trilogy. The game introduces a new protagonist named Starkiller, a powerful Force user trained as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, who is tasked with hunting down Jedi survivors of the Great Jedi Purge while trying to keep his existence a secret. After he is tasked with planting the seeds of what would become the Rebel Alliance, which Vader plans to take advantage of to overthrow the Emperor, Starkiller begins to question his own morality and slowly redeem himself.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

This third-person shooter video game is set in 1946, after the events of the Zombie Army Trilogy, one year after Adolf Hitler was defeated by the Resistance and banished to hell. Even though the ‘Hellmouth’ that Hitler opened was closed, the Zombie Menace continued, with a big number of the Nazi dead overwhelming and pushing the allies out of Germany and back into territories such as France and Italy. As a player, you get to continue the alternate history of Zombie Army Trilogy by fighting the forces of darkness in corpse riddled canals, survive a zombie zoo and journey to dark inexplicable places as you engage in a terrible blood bath.

Chinatown Detective Agency

This is another cyber noir point-and-click adventure that combines magnificent retro design with cutting-edge mechanics. You will take on the role of Amira Darma, a former cop who has recently launched her own detective business. You choose your clients, travel around the world, and use real-world research to solve dangerous cases.
