DJ Crème de la Crème back with wife, regrets saying marriage is a scam

It was one of the most publicised break up in 2021, but fast-forward to 2022 and George Njuguna aka DJ Crème de la Crème is a happy man after reuniting with his family.

Earlier this week, Crème disclosed his wife Denise is back at their Kericho home and they have sorted out their differences.

Speaking during a radio interview, Crème was grateful to God for the gift of family and was apologetic for some of the words he used when his marriage was going through a rough patch.

“With time I realised that I had made a big mistake, especially saying marriage is a scam. I think I was just emotional and I deeply regret it because it has cost me a lot of things.

“Can you imagine my children in future coming to show me a YouTube video saying, ‘Daddy why did you say marriage is a scam?’” he posed.

Adding: “I felt the house was empty without her and I am so glad my family is reunited.”

Crème stated they are now settled and although he did not divulge how he sorted out his differences with Denise, he admitted time is a healer.

“I do not want to talk much about it, but in every relationship when you are at your worst you will think your partner is the worst person… but time has a way of healing things. You go back to your senses and realise that you cannot do without the other person,” he said.

And while talking to the Saturday Standard, the celebrated DJ emphasised that nothing comes before family, noting he had valuable lessons to pick from the incident that derailed most of his progress last year.

Crème said he owed much respect to his family and close friends who have stood with him during the trying time.

“I came into the realisation that family is everything. You can be famous or even have many friends around you, but the truth is the people who will always stand by you, understand and support you are your family members,” said Crème.  

Last year while speaking about his break up, Crème said marriage was a scam and revealed to us that Denise had left with his two children.

“I do not really want to talk about this, but what I can tell you is that at the moment I am alone. My wife took the children so I am living one day at a time. You know as a man you just have to deal with life.

I am here (Kericho) building a club and a restaurant. But I am easy, haina pressure. Every good thing comes to an end,” he said at the time.

Having relocated his family from Nairobi to Kericho as the pandemic interrupted the entertainment arena in the country, Crème enrolled his children in new schools and engaged in establishing businesses in his home area.

It was an uphill task as he multitasked deejaying in and out of Nairobi and assessing the new developments he was working on in Kericho. At some point, he joined his father in running their family farm as well as their agro-vet business.    

On his 38th birthday in December, Crème dropped a major hint he had reunited with his family after sharing a clip of his children joining him in cutting cake.

“The best birthday gift was definitely being around my family. A prayer answered and God’s work…Made me drop a tear,” he captioned the video.
