Emile Nguza Arao becomes the new KCAA DG from April 22, 2022. [Source: EAC website]

Emile Nguza has been appointed as the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Director-General.

His appointment takes effect from April 22, 2022.

He replaces Gilbert Kibe who retires after serving two terms at the helm of the agency.

“Following a diligent and successful recruitment process by the Board of Directors at the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Emile Nguza Arao as the new Director-General of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, with effect from April 22,” Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia said in a statement dated March 8.

In his statement, CS Macharia has described the incoming DG as ‘a highly talented and accomplished Aviation Professional holding his Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Engineering Technology’.

He added, “He  also has a Masters in Business Administration in Aviation with a specialization in Aviation Systems Mgt both obtained from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University USA,”
