Veteran journalist Eliud Waithaka dies after short illness

The media fraternity is mourning the death of long-serving journalist Eliud Waithaka.

Until his demise, Waithaka worked for Radio Africa Group as a correspondent for The Star newspaper. He previously worked for Royal Media Services as a reporter for Inooro FM.

Waithaka passed on after a short illness at his home in Nanyuki town on Friday morning.

Condoling with the family, Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi described Waithaka as a humble person, while fellow journalists eulogised him as hard-working.
