No deaths, recoveries as 23 people test positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

23 people, from a sample size of 5,517, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate is now at 0.4 per cent with the total number of confirmed positive cases in the Country at 323,025.

So far, a total of 3,387,151 samples have been collected.

Of the 23 cases, 13 are female while and 10 are male. The youngest is a one-year-old child while the oldest is 94 years.

The cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi 21, Baringo 1 and Garissa 1.

A total of 39 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 483 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

Three patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and all of them are on ventilatory support.

Another 14 patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

In the last 24 hours, there have been no recoveries. Therefore, total recoveries remain 303,296 of whom 250, 314 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 52,982 are from various health facilities countrywide.

Fortunately, no deaths were reported today. Therefore, the cumulative number of fatalities stands at 5,640.

A total of 55,453 vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of those inoculated to 16,786,825.

Of these, 7,858,965 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,662,349.
