Two suspected hackers have been arrested in Ngara, Nairobi.

Michael Oduor, 54, and Sylvester Onyango, 30, are said to have been trying to hack NTSA and TIMS systems.

Digital forensic experts and crime unit officers raided their office on Friday afternoon.

The officers recovered Sh1,188,000, $100 in cash, three motor vehicles and fiber laser cutting machine for cutting number plates.

Also recovered were a compressor machine for painting number plates, a number plate, several other number plates cut into pieces, five desktop computers, laptops, logbooks, modems, hard drives and flash drives.

Further investigations led the officers to NTSA offices, where they arrested one employee at the call centre department.

Anthony Korir, 33,  had connected a LAN (Local Area Network) turtle gadget, a covert system administration and pen-testing tool providing stealth remote access.

The suspects have been booked at Muthaiga police station.
