Voters in a county in Rift Valley are puzzled by the rate at which ward representatives are abusing alcohol.

A number of MCAs in the county have been involved in road accidents for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The latest incident involved a youthful MCA who narrowly escaped death after his vehicle rolled several times.

The Grapevine has it that the Ward rep was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.

Three others have survived road accidents either while driving back home or bar hopping within the county.

Some have even been recorded on video, drunk and involved in bar brawls or hurling insults at patrons.

The situation involving the Ward reps has raised concerns among church leaders who have witnessed the leaders attend church functions while drunk and smelling of alcohol.

Concerned voters have turned to social media to criticize their drunk leaders and even warning them that they are serving their last terms in office.
