Following Citizen Tv’s story dubbed First class betrayal, many Kenyans have come out to express their frustrations over lack of jobs.
The story which centred on Kelvin Ochieng, a first-class graduate from the University of Nairobi, has elicited mixed feelings from many graduates.
Kelvin, who went through the country’s top learning institutions, has endured a tormenting life experience that pushed him to the streets despite having excellent academic grades.
His several attempts to secure internship and job opportunities have proved difficult leaving him with no option but to do menial works for survival.
His tear-jerking story took twitter by storm with many graduates taking the opportunity to speak about their frustrations as well.
Here are some of the reactions from netizens:

It's really painful working hard to achieve academic success but in the end, no one gives him a job. This is not a miracle I'm a victim of the same been applying for jobs and internships but no feedback/vacancy given.

Hi JKL, there is a Kevin Oduor with a similar story to the one you've highlighted. He has a 1st class and has been tarmacking and languishing in Kibera slums since 2017. His number: +254701657623. May God bless.
