UoN tops list of best universities in Africa according to web popularity

University of Nairobi (UoN) is the eighth best institution of higher learning in Africa according to an international higher education search engine and directory, 4icu.org.

Based on the organization’s methodology which is majorly based on an algorithm including five unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from three different search engines including Google Page Rank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Majestic Seo Referring Domains, Majestic Seo Citation Flow and Majestic Seo Trust Flow; UoN is the best in Kenya and at position 1, 071 in the world.

Kenyatta University is ranked second the country, 35th in Africa and 2, 368th in the world followed closely by JKUAT at position 80 in Africa and 4, 398th in the world.

Strathmore University ranks first in the country’s list of private universities followed by Mount Kenya University which is ranked 96th in Africa.

Egerton University follows USIU-Africa closely at position seven in Kenya and 128th in the continent.
