The many hats of DP William Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto is a man of many hats, quite literally.

The self-proclaimed hustler takes the biscuit when it comes to dressing up for the occasion.

He has appeared at past religious events  in the specific spiritual uniform of the sect or denomination in question, perhaps to show his respect for the faith or just being in tune with the ceremony of the day.

Standard Digital took interest in Ruto’s past appearances and dug up pictures of him in religious attire as shown below when President Uhuru Kenyatta (centre), Ruto (right) and Majority Leader Aden Duale met Muslims from Western Kenya at the Kakamega State Lodge during for Muslim Iftar celebrations on July 11, 2014. 

Below, resplendent in Muslim garb, Dr Ruto accompanied by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko during Iftar dinner at Charter Hall in Nairobi in 2018.

Fast forward to the Far East, Dr Ruto goes Sikh during the wedding of Gavneet Chathe and Rajbir Rai in December 2016.

In the latest sartorial somersault, Dr Ruto (centre) hosts African Divine Church faithful at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi.
