An animal breeder was shocked when one of his goats gave birth to a mutant kid with two heads, four eyes and three ears.
The mother was in labour for seven hours before onlookers had step in and help deliver the new arrival.
Chinese Breeder Gao Dafa said he had to assist by pulling the oddly-shaped kid out.
It was born on Sunday, January 12 - but was unable to stand.
The animal, which needed to be bottle fed, was able to suckle from both its mouths and could see through all four eyes.
But the poor goat was found dead just four days later after freezing temperatures hit in the village of Yezhai, in eastern China.
The experienced owners said they had never come across a similar mutant animal in their many years in the breeding industry.
Its condition is believed to have been caused by a genetic mutation during development.
