Relatives of a guard who was attached to dusitD2 hotel Nairobi, ended their search for him on a sad note.

Edicas Owanda and Charles Nyaguto yesterday found the bullet-ridden body of Zachary Nyabwanga at the Chiromo Mortuary.

Nyabwaga was an employee of Senaca Security firm. “When the news broke, we called his phone because we knew he worked there. Many of our relatives were asking about him. The calls went unanswered,” said Mr Owanda.

Compensate families

When they went to 14 Riverside Drive, the Red Cross team confirmed that Nyabwanga was in the list of those killed.

Nyabwanga’s wife recently gave birth to a son, who died a week later.

Owanda said he brought Nyabwanga from the village to the city.

They urged the Government to compensate bereaved families and help with funeral expenses.
