Kitui County workers issue strike notice over unpaid salaries

Trade unions of workers in Kitui have issued a strike notice to Governor Charity Ngilu to pay county workers their delayed December salaries or face protests.

The unions said they were concerned by the salary delay, resulting to anguish to their members and their families.

In a joint statement, the unions gave Ngilu a seven-day ultimatum to act on their demand failure to which they will withdraw their services.
