Likoni MP Mishi Mboko claims more girls in Coast region are being lured into joining criminal gangs because they are vulnerable.

“We must be alert and protect women and girls from radicalisation. We must end this trend where women are being recruited into criminal gangs. It is clear that these gangs are now targeting women,” said Ms Mboko yesterday.

This comes months after residents in Mtwapa raised concerns about the rise in criminal gangs.
