PHOTOS: Nairobi muggers cornered, almost set on fire by crowd

These men were beaten and stripped by a mob along Nairobi’s Kenyatta Avenue on suspicion of robbing a woman.

The mob poured petrol on one of them and tore off all his clothes ready to set him on fire.

When he saw a small opportunity to save his life, he did not hesitate to take it.

One of the alleged muggers is seen taking beatings from the mob.

He was later set free but after a thorough canning.
