National Super Alliance (NASA) Coalition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday, March 25 evoked a series of reactions after his remarks on the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open shortly after he watched a match with President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Muthaiga Golf Club.
The two leaders were meeting for the first time since their monumental handshake on Friday, March 9.
At the golf club, Mr. Odinga said he was invited by the president, an offer he could not turn down as he is working with him for the good of the country.
The post was noted by many of his Twitter followers who chose to ignore his remarks and pay attention to the picture. Most of the responses his tweet evoked were a question of whether he had given up the fight against what he believed in.
Before the March 9 handshake, Mr. Odinga had maintained he won after the August 8, 2017, elections, even going far as taking oath as the People’s President on January 30.
