How Raila Odinga will double cross President Uhuru after the handshake- Mutahi Ngunyi

Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi on Saturday, March 17 gave his opinion on the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance *NASA) Coalition leaders Raila Odinga.

Speaking with students from the FortHall School of Government on his YouTube channel, Mutahi said that President Uhuru should be careful not to trust Raila as much. According to them, Raila is cunning and will use the handshake to make demands from the government.

“Raila gave everything he had at Harambee House and left with nothing. To some people, this was stupid. But in my view, this was a clever ploy. By leaving with nothing, Raila left with a blank check. And he can use the blank check to claim anything…He will tell us that Uhuru promised him things they didn’t even discuss, including presidency in 2022,” Mutahi argued.

The analysts further stated that Raila will turn the handshake into something big, warning that President Uhuru should proceed with Caution. They compared the Harambee House incident to a camel who convinced a traveler to let him into his tent bit by bit until the traveler himself was kicked out, leaving the camel to enjoy his tent. 

To them, Raila convinced Uhuru his head is cold, then Uhuru let him in, next, he will ask for more until there will be no room left for Uhuru.

“In our view, Raila’s tricks begun in 2008 when we sent him to Pharaoh with the simple message ‘let my people go’. But Pharaoh convinced Raila to share power and for this sin, Raila is condemned never to see the condemned land”, they observed.

In conclusion, Mutahi and the students warn that Raila has always wanted power for himself, saying that he fought to have the position of Prime Minister removed from the constitution.

“He did this because he did not want to share power when he would become president and for this, his pact with Uhuru will begin with a limp,” they said.
