PHOTOS: Girl and her little brother look death straight in the eye as New Year celebrations in Kisumu almost turn tragic

As the New Year was ushered in and many went out to make merry and have fun, a young girl and her brother chose to end their celebration on a merry-go-round swing.

At the middle of the swinging, the chains attached to one of the chairs cut off, exposing a young girl and her brother to death.

She quickly held one arm of the metallic chairs and in a split of second held the loose chain. People shouted as the girl and her brother looked at death straight into the eye.
