Deputy President William Ruto has said the Government will continue offering free maternity services.
The DP said the Jubilee administration will guarantee improved maternal health by ensuring access to quality health services.
“We have continued to provide free maternity which has been critical in supporting many families,” Ruto said.
During election campaigns, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto promised to improve free maternity programmes besides providing a health cover through the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) for expectant mothers.
The Deputy President was speaking yesterday at the wedding of Andrew Kibet Kositany, the nephew of Soy MP Caleb Kositany and Debra Rono at Kenmosa Village in Eldoret.
Present was Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, senators Kiprotich Cherargei (Nandi) and Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho).
