Mombasa Road is ‘momentarily impassable’, according to Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim, following floods at a bridge close to Sultan Hamud town that have resulted to a consequential blockage of the road.
Mr. Mohammed has further asked motorists using the road from Mombasa to Nairobi to opt for the Makindu-Wote-Konza-Makutano route while those travelling from the capital to Mombasa to use the Machakos-Wote-Makindu route.
