Schools in areas prone to banditry are set for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education national examinations set to kick off this week.

Speaking to The Standard, Rift Valley Regional Co-ordinator Wanyama Musiambo said the situation was calm to enable the candidates to sit their exams in a safe and conducive environment. Mr Musiambo added that sanity had been restored in areas that had experienced insecurity.

“Sanity and calm have been restored in various parts of Baringo and the environment is safe for students sitting their national exams,” he said.
