Ex-MCAs realise too late that they were used

A section of MCA who served in one of the county assemblies as nominated persons watched helplessly as their new colleagues were sworn in office.

The MCAs watched in disbelief despite having been promised they would bounce back to the county assembly over the role they played to safe guard their governor from impeachment.

They were overheard castigating those who hoodwinked them and prevented them from running for elective slots following the pledge to reward them.

Like their colleagues in some other county governments, they were used as a divide and rule MCAs to protect governors and executives.

In Mt Kenya region, governors who survived impeachment are Mwangi wa Iria (Murang'a), Martin Wambora (Embu), Joshua Irungu (Laikipia) and the late Ndiritu Gachagua (Nyeri).

Wa Iria and Wambora made a comeback after they trounced their rivals.
