The family of the young lady who was murdered alongside IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando was laid to rest at her parent’s home in Gachie in a secret ceremony where videos and photographs were allowed.

The family who insisted that they wanted paramount privacy as they ponder on their next move after the murder, hinted to the media that they have been left in the dark on the progress of investigations into the killing.

Maryanne Wairumu was buried on Friday 11, in Kiambu County with only family members and close relatives being in attendance.

A search by the family led to City Mortuary where they found the body of their 21-year-old daughter after it was retrieved from a thicket alongside that of Mr Msando in Kiambu.

The two had been on a night out after which they went missing with postmortem reports showing they underwent strangulation.

Mr Msando is yet to be buried yet with political leaders linking his death to a plot to aid access to elections systems at IEBC and subsequent manipulation of the poll outcomes across the country.

NASA coalition’s Raila Odinga had visited the family of the slain ICT manager on Tuesday and pledged to ensure the killers were brought to book.

The opposition leader while consoling the family expressed regret that the government had gone numb over the matter adding that they could not be trusted with probing the killings.
