Martin Macharia: So our nurses have resorted to blackmail? Anyway, how many are they? Everyone has a right to vote for the candidates and the nurses too are free to choose whoever they want. But saying they will not vote for President Kenyatta because he has not given them a pay rise is cheap blackmail.
Jane Ochanda: Most public servants will always want to grab the Government by the throat around election time, thinking this is when Government is likely do anything for them, especially if it is seeking re-election.
Mary Gichuki: Everyone has a right to vote for whoever they wish. Even with or without increased salaries, I would still expect the nurses to choose their leaders independently.
