Many individuals have always toiled to get their way through in life but all has been in vain for most of them. They normally ask themselves why they can’t make it in life as much as they are alive.
Our cities and towns are however flogged with them as they try to get their daily bread. As much as we try to tolerate them in the society, not knowing what they possess, their uniqueness is still not known in terms of their talents, ability, intelligence, knowledge and skills.
We refer to them as “ninjas”, “chokora” and all the street related names once they settle fully in the street.
Meet Engineer Thaddaeus Lebanon Muchuma, a ship and aviation expert and a diploma holder in industrial electronics and structural and mechanical engineering who has shocked many from his innovation.
The 64 year old came up with a boat propelled by cycling a wheel with both feet instead of using a diesel engine. He also has an ambition of coming up with a ship building industry and wants to make a ship for Lake Victoria and fly a cycle plane. He feels the move could spur innovators to enhance mass produce.
That leaves many in a dilemma yet all have the opportunities to expose all they have to the public. Resources are the problem to enable the dreams follow as they may wish.
Out of Muchuma’s 92 projects, 15 have the potential of being scaled up in accordance to the preliminary reviews. With such minds like for Eng. Muchuma, great economic growth is expected with a number of innovations for the country. Government support and the people from the surrounding would also have a positive impact of evolution.
