The Kenya National Union of Nurses, Elgeyo Marakwet branch has pleaded ailing patients to help them curse the Council of Governors(CoG) and the Salary and Remuneration Commission(SRC) for making the Kenyan nurses to strike.
Led by the branch secretary, Benson Biwott, the nurses now attributes the pain the patients in public health facilities across the country to the above-mentioned bodies.
They are now accusing Josphat Nanok’s C.O.G and Sara Serem’s S.R.C as the stumbling block to their unsigned C.B.A.
The irate nurses have vowed to down their tools till the Treaty is duly signed by the government and deposited to industrial court for action.
Meanwhile, they are not pleased with the escalating deaths following their strike as government watches helplessly.
Despite echoing the sentiments, Elgeyo Marakwet County Kenya National Union of Nurses Chair, Naftali Chebii is also calling upon the government through the Ministry of Health to increase the pace of action in a bid to rescue the looming muddle in health sector not only in Elgeyo Marakwet but in the whole country.
The leader points a red finger to the former Union’s National Chair John Bii for failing to join their strike bid. He is calling Bii to keep off the nurses' strike matters and led the nurses to go fight for their rights.
