The man whose three children were recently killed has vowed to continue with his quest to become the next MCA of Kapsoya in Eldoret.
James Ratemo Nyambane (right) said the brutal murder of his children would not discourage him from pursuing his dream.
“My children were a major source of inspiration. They supported me in their little ways and I want to pursue this ambition in their honour,” Mr Nyambane said.
Ratemo was, on Thursday, cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to contest the seat on a Kanu ticket.
He will be facing the incumbent Isaac Kemboi Kirwa of Jubilee and independent candidates Antony Mwangi Karanja and Alex Cherop.
“It is unfortunate the incident happened but he will contest the Kapsoya MCA seat as planned,” said family spokesman Charles Nyamweya.
Nyamweya further said the three children would be buried in Kisii on Friday.
