Deputy President William Ruto’s wife, Rachel Ruto, has captured the attention of the nation by going back to her roots.

 The former teacher and the perfect definition of what humility showed an act of humbleness and gave an inspiration to young girls.

Photos of a beaming Racheal Ruto walking in Butere Girls High School corridors clad in a school uniform were splashed on social media on Saturday making a good number of Kenyans awed and mesmerised.

Many prominent people tend to forget the students and by the Deputy President’s wife wearing a school uniform is an act of honouring the students, showing excellent leadership, acting as a role model to many and above all inspiring many young ladies.

“Congratulations Mrs. Ruto l think you make the dreams of girls to be true we want leaders like you who can step down like this hongera mama God bless you,” said one of the girls

 Speaking during an alumni mentorship programme at Butere Girls' High School, Kakamega Mrs. Ruto said that education is the greatest form of empowerment parents can give to their children.

“To compliment the knowledge they obtain in class we need to mentor the youth to develop the confidence, self-esteem, and skills they need to take full advantage of the working and learning opportunities available to them,” said Mrs. Ruto.

 She Interacted with students, planted a tree and laid a foundation stone for the construction of a multipurpose hall and encouraged them to remain peaceful and always strive to be the best.

If Ruto succeeds to inherit the instruments of power, Kenyans should be sure of a First Lady to count on Rachel has always softened her husband owing to her humility.
