Prof Anyang Nyong'o is most likely to lose to Governor Jack Ranguma in the fight for Kisumu's gubernatorial seat, according to Orie Rogo Manduli.
The 'iron lady' feels that the Senator has lost his political exuberance and would be defeated to the governor Ranguma who she terms as popular.
"I don't see anything formidable about Prof Nyong'o, he will definitely lose to the incumbent who resonates well with the people of Kisumu", claimed Ms Manduli during an interview last night.
Rogo said that Prof Nyong'o s nature of seemingly being withdrawn from the public could prove to be his doom in the elections.
"He would not have authority as a governor because people would feel that he has been imposed on them by the party leadership,” warned Orie Rogo.
Prof Nyong'o beat Governor Ranguma in the ODM party primaries clinching the ticket to vie as the party's candidate in the General Election albeit confusion in announcing the winner.
Both candidates had been announced winners by two separate returning officers but the veteran politician was eventually issued the nomination certificate by the ODM National Elections Board.
Governor Jack Ranguma declared that he would defend his seat as an independent candidate.
