Nairobi to host Google’s Internet firm

A broadband infrastructure company fronted by Internet giant Google is to set up base in Kenya.

CSquared, which has built metro fibre networks in Accra, Ghana, will be headquartered in Nairobi with similar metro networks in other towns and cities in the country and Africa.

Other investors in CSquared are Convergence Partners, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Mitsui&Co.

 The firm has so far received capital commitments of $100 million (Sh10 billion).
