The Deputy president William Ruto lashed at the son of the chief for demeaning those people who have worked hard to achieve their status in the society yet their parents were little known.
Addressing delegates at Bomas of Kenya on Saturday during the Jubilee Party National Conference that was meant to unveil President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Jubilee party candidate in the forthcoming General Election, Ruto said that Moses Wetangula who is one of the NASA principal has been going round the country saying that hustlers are thieves and that he doesn’t know how Ruto rose to fame yet his father cannot be retraced by Kenya’s history.
“I heard that Tokyo guy abusing me and other hustlers, saying that we hustlers are thieves but I want to tell him that hustlers are people who are hard working. He is looking down upon us because his father was a chief and our fathers were not even village elders,” said Ruto.
Ruto told on Wetangula that he should know that there are millions of Kenyans who hustled their way to prosperity and he should respect them.
The Deputy President wondered what Wetangula could have done if his father was the president of Kenya.
On the other hand, he appreciated President Uhuru Kenyatta for remaining humble and working towards uniting Kenyans without discriminating them.
In addition, he termed NASA leaders as people who are seeking to share the national cakes among themselves without really minding the common Mwananchi.According to him it will be very had for the common mwananchi to reach the NASA leaders because they don’t understand the problems facing them.
As he concluded he told Nasa leaders that if they had a problem with him as a hustler they are going to have more problems with Jubilee Party because it has accommodated cooks and watchmen who have been elected in the just concluded Jubilee primaries to represent their people.
