Statehouse advisor Joshua Kutuny has praised Deputy President William Ruto for taking personal charge of Jubilee Party activities at the party headquarters to ensure the nomination exercise went on smoothly.
According to the Former Cherangany MP the exercise went on smoothly in most parts of the country, a success he attributed to DP Ruto being in charge of the Jubilee primaries.
"I want to commend the Deputy President for taking charge and foreseeing free and fair party primaries, the move has strengthened the Jubilee Party," said Kutuny.
The Former lawmaker who won the Jubilee party ticket by trouncing the incumbent MP Wesley Korir, at the same time dismissed claims of a split among Jubilee leaders in the North Rift region.
He said the claims that he is part of a new political axis in the region were not only imaginary but meant to create differences among leaders from the North Rift region.
"As leaders from the Rift Valley region we should shun divisive politics and remain solidly behind Jubilee party under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto,"he said
The Former lawmaker said there was an urgent need for politicians to shun politics that stoke tribalism and dedicate themselves to development initiatives and unity.
He also thanked Cherangany residents for nominating him to fly the Jubilee Party flag in the August 8th General Elections and vowed to bring all communities together in the cosmopolitan constituency.
