The race for Nairobi Woman Rep position is shaping up into a bruising contest after incumbent Rachael Shebesh announced she would defend her seat in the August polls.
Wangui Ng’ang’a, one of her challengers, welcomed the move but warned her to brace for battle.
“Come baby come; I will show her dust in the elections. Nairobi deserves a Woman Rep who respects women and the role they play in the family and society at large,” said Ms Ng’ang’a.
She said Nairobians want a digital and dynamic leader able to mobilise the right causes. “We have had four years of wasted opportunities as women,” she added.
