Drama was witnessed at kimende buying centre when a drunkard knelt down praying loudly; seeking forgiveness for being a slave to betting.

Onlookers thought the drunkard was doing some theatrics for being too much inebriated.

The man who is a famous mechanic had done well that day at his the job. As usual, he did his bet with a hope of hitting a jackpot.

The man was optimistic and bragged how he could give his friends a cool weekend in their drinking spree.

As time went by out of the ten bets he had made nine were correct and it was a matter of minutes for the last game to be out.

The man nicknamed ‘Chief’ for being opinion holder in everything met the worst shock of the day. “Moja imekuwa virus” the man cried out repeatedly.

He staggered out to find his way home as his friends jeered him. It is at this moment that the man in his mix-ups knelt down in the middle of the road and prayed earnestly seeking forgiveness.

In his penance process, his wife was informed of a husband turned thespian. Upon arriving the wife stretched her hand and shouted “pesa ya rent” only for the man to scream “ni hii shetani nilinunua” and handed over the phone to the wife declaring he will not have it anymore.

“Haki bibi yangu atanimaliza” the man could be heard crying as the wife dragged him from the scene.

The only thing we could not substantiate was whether the prayer was meant to be heard by God or the wife.
