Prsesident Uhuru Kenyatta has been resilient in ensuring that he wins the heart of the coastal people.The region has been perceived to be the opposition’s strong hold but President Uhuru and his foot soldiers are determined to take control of the region.

Speakimng at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa on Sunday Uhuru said that they will continue to pursue their vision of oneness, unity, and togetherness as Jubilee.

He further told governors they should tell the Kenyans what they have done with the resources they were given and stop diverting attention from their own failures.

“ Those demanding accountability from the National government should also tell Kenyans what they have done with billions of shillings allocated to the county government,” Said Uhuru.

According to the President, the Government has been taking care of the interest of the coast people.He also said that Jubilee is commited in addressing the problems that face the coastal people.

Additionally he the Government’s agenda is to transform the country and insure that people live together in harmony.
“Jubilee's agenda is to transform the nation & bring prosperity to all Kenyans irrespective of their political, religious or tribal background,” said Uhuru.

In an effort to pursue unity and togetherness Jubilee has wooed some coastal politicians from the opposition to Jubilee.They received them officially in Jubilee party.Among them is the Taita taveta senator Dan Mwazo, Tana River County Governor Hussein Dado, Women Representative Halima Ware from the same county and Taita Taveta Women Representative Ms. Joyce Lay.

The leaders echoed the President’s sentiments saying that the Jubilee Government is committed to transforming the lives of the coastal people. They vowed to campaign for the president at the coast so that he can be re-elected for the second term.
