The legendary phone of the 2000s is back, this time in a variety of colours and improved features. Nokia 3310 was revealed last week in Barcelona and will be in the market in April 2017.
The new version also has the famous snake game that was popular back in the days and this time it is available on messenger and facebook games, has a rear camera of 2 mega pixel, coloured screen, microSD slot.
"The 3310 was the first mass-market mobile and there's a massive amount of nostalgia and affection for it," commented Ben Wood from the technology consultancy CCS Insight.
The best thing about the phone is that it has superb battery life of 22 hours talk time and a full month on standby, the best battery life in the market so far.
It can not be referred to as a smart phone yet but it sure is a good phone to have when one wants to take a digital detox or a holiday phone that allows you to stay connected but still minimise on being online.
The phone is also likely to be a first phone for many who cannot afford a smart phone, children or a travelling phone.
But you can be sure that most people will purchase it as an alternative to their smart phone and also for the nostalgic feeling it created as the first mass market phone back in the 2000.
